What is Moringa?

Moringa is also known as a drumstick in the common language. Moringa has been present in kitchens since ancient times. It has medicinal value as it it is beneficial for one’s health.
Moringa trees have flowers which then turn into sticks or pods about 12 to 15 centimetres long.
Moringa is typically cultivated in Asian and African regions.
 
Why should you use Moringa?
People have been using Moringa since ancient times due to its medicinal properties and multiple health benefits. The oil made from Moringa can be used to remedy skin and hair deterioration. Skin infections and sores can be taken care of with Moringa oil as it is famous for its antifungal properties. If you are looking to fight fungal infection, moringa is your go-to buddy.
Drumsticks are also well known for their antibacterial and antidepressant properties. Consuming a drumstick helps with bone strengthening as it is full of vitamins. Moringa is rich in vitamin A, vitamin B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B-6, folate, and ascorbic acid (vitamin C), calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus and zinc.

In Asia as people make drumstick vegetable curry and eat it with rice. Moringa extracted oil is another way of using this super food plant.
On the LooseNatural farm we have planted around 400 Moringa trees and it appears that they do well in this Mediterranean climate.
 
So far we are using the leaves of the moringa as chicken feed as chickens need a daily intake of high protein foods.
Soon we will start producing Moringa powder to supplement people’s nutritional intake.
